OLDE WOOD LIMITED // EST. 1997 HOW IT STARTED AND WHERE THEY’RE GOING

What Steps Are Being Taken To Expand The Business And Better Serve Your Customers? We’re in process of expanding our team, including the recent hire of Brett Miller as General Manager. Brett brings over 34 years of comprehensive experience in the hardwood flooring industry, having worked as an installer, finisher, inspector, and educator. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Technical Standards, Education, Certification, and Membership at the NWFA, where he was the primary author of the organization’s technical guidelines and standards— recognized as the benchmark for wood flooring installation, sanding and finishing, and maintenance worldwide. Brett’s expertise will be invaluable throughout the company as his LOPXMFEHF and experience will positively impact multiple departments including sales, customer service, and production. Additionally, we have plans to expand by constructing a new building on our property to facilitate increased production. This will allow us to add new capabilities while also revamping portions of our current workflow. Ultimately, it will give us greater control over the manufacturing process and improve efficiencies across the board. Tommy and Mandy Sancic started Olde Wood Limited in 1997 with a team of three. Since that time, it has grown into one of the largest wide plank flooring and reclaimed building materials manufacturing facilities in the nation, expanding its product lines and continuously growing along the way. The company is proud to manufacture its wide plank flooring and other products at its facility in Stark County, Ohio, using a combination of both traditional milling methods and cutting-edge technology. Olde Wood Limited’s commitment to the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) runs deep. They are active participants in the NWFA Expo, both as exhibitors and with Tommy Sancic providing insights as part of expert panels. The company is a longtime publishing partner with Hardwood Floors magazine and regularly provides content to share their knowledge with readers. Here, the Olde Wood Limited team tells us more about their story in this Q&A. How Did The Company Begin? Founded on the principles of hard work, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for natural beauty, our company began with just three simple things: a truck, a chainsaw, and a man’s unwavering passion for bringing people’s visions to life through stunning wood creations. In What Ways Has Your Business Evolved Since That Time? What began as a company supplying raw lumber to manufacturers has evolved into one of the nation’s leading producers of luxury wide plank flooring. Today, we offer meticulously color sorted and graded long-length domestic species, including white oak, walnut, maple, and hickory, with an impressive inventory of almost 3 million board feet. Our commitment to quality extends beyond sourcing premium materials— we manufacture our own engineered plywood core and utilize our in house

advanced automated prefinish line to ensure precision and consistency. Every day, we push the boundaries of quality and efficiency, setting new standards in the industry while staying true to our passion for exceptional craftsmanship. Tell Us Some Of The Ways Your Company Participates In The Wood Flooring Industry As a longtime premium partner sponsor of the NWFA, our commitment to the association runs deep. We’ve been active participants in the NWFA Expo for as long as we can remember, with our owner, Tommy Sancic contributing to expert panels and sharing insights. Our involvement also extends beyond the Expo—we’ve had the honor of joining the podcast multiple times and contributing articles to the NWFA magazine on numerous occasions, including a recent insightful piece on historic restoration and the important role reclaimed flooring plays within the industry. Beyond our participation, we continue to rely on the NWFA as the industry’s leading source for knowledge, installation best practices, and connections with qualified professionals. Which Product Is Your Company Most Known For When It Comes To Wood Flooring? We are best known for our wide plank, authentic antique reclaimed flooring, but many may not realize that for decades, we have also been a trusted manufacturer of high-quality graded new hardwood flooring. Our expertise extends to premium domestic species such as white oak, walnut, maple, and hickory, all carefully selected and graded to meet the highest standards. With a commitment to precision and craftsmanship, we offer long-length planks that showcase the natural beauty and durability of these sought-after woods, ensuring exceptional flooring options for a wide range of projects.
