Kevin Butcher, sales manager for Rubberlogix, says it began as a way to grow the parent company, New River Tire Recycling. “We were already producing crumb rubber for the two largest rubber flooring manufacturers and were at a fork in the road on how to grow,” he recalls. “Either double down on crumb rubber or start producing our own end product. Which, the latter is what we decided, and it has grown 7,000 percent since its inception.” The company is located in the heart of downtown Pilot Mountain on a 28-acre site, with more than 200 square feet of manufacturing space/buildings. Triton’s facility spans 360,000 square feet and focuses on distribution, which Edwards says ensures materials reach clients with efficiency and care nationwide.
