GENERAL GUIDE TO PAD COLORS* RED – Buffing Pad

This pad removes scuff marks and dirt on medium traffic areas. Red pads can be used on many acrylic finishes (commonly used on other non-wood floor coverings) for dry or spray buffing to produce a sparkling shine and are ideal for automatic scrubbing.

BLUE – Scrubbing/Cleaning Pad (non-wood pads)

This scrub pad is designed for wet scrubbing or medium-duty spray cleaning. It removes heavy dirt and scuff marks on most floor surfaces. Blue pads will remove the top layer of many types of acrylic finishes.

BLACK – Stripping Pad (non-wood pads)

The most popular stripping pad is designed for heavy-duty wet stripping. The black pad has a very aggressive texture to remove wax, dirt, and many finishes. Tough, durable, and built to perform.

GREEN – Scrubbing Pad (non-wood pads)

Green pads are the toughest duty, most aggressive scrubbing pads, designed for heavily soiled areas. They are best used for wet scrubbing or light stripping and are very durable and long-lasting.

TAN – Buffing Pad

The perfect pad for light cleaning and dry buffing, the tan pad removes scuffs and black heel marks while producing a high gloss shine on many acrylic finishes. This pad also commonly is used for the application and burnishing of some natural and hardwax oil finishes.

BROWN – Stripping Pad (non-wood pads)

A very strong pad for wet or dry applications that quickly removes wax, dirt, and old acrylic finishes, leaving the surface ready for a new coat of the acrylic finishes.

WHITE – Polishing Pad

The extra fine pad is formulated for polishing clean, dry floors with an acrylic finish. On these types of finished floors (non wood), a fine water mist is used to produce a high-gloss wet look. This thick pad most commonly is used as a driver on the buffer, and for the application and burnishing of stains, and some natural and hardwax oil finishes on wood floors.

WHITE GOLD – (non-wood pads)

This is an aggressive burnishing pad that combines a heavy blend of natural hair with the proper amount of synthetic fiber and is best suited for medium to hard finishes.

MAROON

Used for between-coat preparation of hardwood floor finishes.
