Hook also shared that in themid-20th century, the original oor was replaced by another company. “We know the timing due to the type of nails they used,” he said. “It was a screw-type nail used just a er thewar, up until the 1970s. Timingwas critical due to high demand fromthe community for the use of the facility, especially fromApril throughMay. Hook said the new oor should last as long asDwight Hall stands, but if another oor is needed in the future, that crewmay discover a piece fromtoday. “Our crews sign the oors with the date andwhere they are from,” saidHook. “ is job is legendarywithin our organization as it was exciting to discover this piece of BCHhistory. It also built great comradery among the team.” g
