3. Inspection by an NWFA-Certi edWood Floor Inspector may be conducted to determine the cause, whichmay include a careful and critical examination of the ooring system. Inspectionmay take place from the oor level, with the assistance of magni cation, and/or through destructive testing to determine the cause of irregularities, but not necessarily to determine acceptability. THE STANDARD FOR EVALUATION IS BASED ON VIEWING A WOOD FLOOR WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE NWFA GUIDELINES IN ORDER TO DETERMINE ACCEPTABILITY: 1. Evaluation of a wood oor must be done from a standing position on the oor being assessed. 2. Evaluation of a wood oor must be conducted with ambient lighting. Glare fromdirect light sources must be avoided during evaluation.
