GCM BASEBALL LOOKS TO MAKE INTRODUCTION IN NEW DISTRICT, CLASSIFICATION

Despite the fact that Goose Creek Memorial finished on the right side of .500 a year ago, with a 16-12 record, they were narrowly denied entry into the postseason after ending up just outside of the fourth seed in their previous district of 17-5A. Under the direction of head coach George Banda, the Patriots will look to make a name for themselves against a different slate of opponents, as they ascend to District 23-6A in 2025. Seniors Abraham Greene (IF) and Camron Cantu (OF/P) will provide the veteran leadership for a group that also includes fellow seniors, Nolan Reznicek (OF/P) and John Gallegos (C/P), as well as sophomores Easton Brunson (P/1B) and Bryant Balderas (P). It won’t get any easier for GCM, as they’ll have to match up against elite programs such as Kingwood, Atascocita, and Summer Creek, but don’t count them out just yet. There’s plenty of potential for them to take advantage of in their new setting.
