Gilbert, Arizona

D uring World War II, Glen Martin, a local barber, began collecting pictures of young men serving in the armed services. In 1991, a collage of those pictures was attached to a three-by-four-foot back ing by Geraldine and Albert Nichols and placed in the Gilbert Historical Museum. It now hangs in the Military Room and displays seventy or more Gilbert veterans of World War II. Some of those pictures are shown in the next few pages.
