Exhibitions 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted a Culture (Rocky Rog gio) Docu. shows how the Revised Standard Version deliberately introduced a false, anti-gay translation that’s still with us today. OurSon (Bill Oliver) Drama stars Billy Porter as half of a gay cou ple that’s going through a nasty divorce, including a battle for cus tody of their precocious 8-year-old son. Rock Hudson: All That Heaven Allowed (Stephen Kijak) Docu. offers an intimate portrait of the Hollywood “ladies man” who shocked the world when he died of AIDS in 1985. You Can Live Forever (Mark Slutsky & Sarah Watts) Drama fol lows a lesbian teenager who’s sent to live in a Jehovah’s Witness community, where she falls in love with a devout Witness girl. Drag Queen Storytime Gone Wild! The Kinsey Sicks bring their trash-talking political parodies back in an acappella musical com edy. At the NCTC in San Francisco, July 5–16. Dear Mom, I’m Gay! The Musical A young man from Michigan heads to NYC to study fashion and goes home for Thanksgiving with a whole new identity. At the Chain Theatre, NYC, July 14–23. The Fantasticks Musical The classic show is reimagined as the story of Matt and Luis (not Luisa), whose mothers (not fathers) are plotting to bring them together. Eileen (William Oldroyd) Drama based on a 2015 novel about a Har vard-educated prison psychologist who befriends a depressed co worker at the facility, where things take a sinister turn.
