Several new retail and mixed-use developments are also planned for the Fulshear area. This includes a new 45,000 sq. ft. retail development as part of the Fulshear Lakes community located just west of Fulshear along FM 1093, and the new Fulshear Central mixed use project on FM 1093 near Texas Heritage Parkway, featuring a combination of retail and office space. Despite the growth that area has experienced over the last decade, Fulshear has still managed to maintain its small-town charm. DeAnna Krenek, who handles most of the country homes and land listings for Roller Realty, explains. “I have lived in the Fulshear area for over 30 years. There were no gas stations, traffic lights, or shopping. FM 1093 was a two-lane road, and it was common to have to wait for the train to pass (the tracks have now been removed).
