children in Fulshear-Katy. The majority of households consist of a single married couple with 3-4 children. Katy households tend to have slightly larger families. Differences are also evident in terms of the age distribution of children, with Fulshear 77441 having the lowest fraction of very young children (less than 8% of family households having children younger than six years of age) and the highest fraction of schoolchildren 6-17 years of age (73.9%). The spread in children’s ages with a given family unit is also interesting: e.g., Fulshear families tend to have the smallest fraction of children of all ages under 18 years (the category “age < 6 y and 6-17 y”) and the largest fraction of older school-age children (category “6-17 y only”).
