WILLOWRIDGE EAGLES Coach Tiffany Collins’ girls basketball team was the cream of the crop for Willowridge in their Winter campaign. After finishing 27-8 and taking the No. 2 spot (11-3) in the crowded FBISD, Natalie Greene, Au’Rayona Seals, and Hailey Kinchen would guide the Eagles to an impressive run in the postseason. While they had their fair share of ups and downs, Kaden Davis and Angelo Mack remained bright spots throughout the regular season for WHS boys hoops. Similarly, both soccer programs are working out some kinks with their young squads. However, upperclassmen James Gonzalez, Wendy Martinez, Douglas Moreno, and Arly Santamaria will be depended on to fine tune their respective rosters moving forward. In the Spring season, Anthony Momon returns to the track after placing in the Top 10 (200m) at last year’s Class 5A State meet. Coaches Christian Hartfield and Courtnie Ratliff will also look to Illona Gabaut-Diziere, Ashton Jones, and Queyon Brown to rack up points for the Eagles. Willowridge Baseball returns to the diamond following a somewhat down-year in 2023, but Nathan Bravo and Dustin Goff should be the key figures to turn things around. The softball team had similar troubles a year ago, so coach Derrick Earthly will count on seniors Kyla Walker, Asia Stewart, and Briana Hernandez to anchor this year’s relatively young squad.
