F L Y , F L Y E A G L E S , WILLOWRIDGE EAGLES The district will look slightly different for the Eagles in 2024, due to the UIL realignment moving them down to Class 4A. With coach Kendron Penson steering the ship, Willowridge Football will now contend with teams such as Needville, Stafford and Navasota for the top spot in District 12-4A-I. The veteran leadership of first teamer Tylon Rydolph (Sr. LB), Royce Wilson (UTEP-commit) and Terry Wade Jr. (Jr. OL/second-team) should propel the roster in their effort to make a statement this Fall. Similarly, seniors such as Laila Morrison, Tarah Batiste, Charleia Anderson and Kyla O’Neil should buoy the volleyball team, as they make their debut in District 21-4A. On the trails, Dana Ajpacaja, Jose Cruz Cabrera, Je’Layiah Wilson and James Gonzalez will be the front-runners for Willowridge XC, while Elexis Mendez, Marely Aragon and Mayra Chavez lead a relatively youthful Eagles tennis program.
