W e now know roughly 35 percent of the members of the Florida Legislature. But how can that be with Election Day on November 8? Simple, these officials were elected either when qualifying ended and no one ran against them, or on Primary Day when they won and no one else was running for the seat. PLEASE reach out to these legislators and get to know them now. Please make sure to congratulate them on their victories. It is better to get to know them now, than when we need to ask for their help during Session. When qualifying ended at noon on June 17, there were 39 Florida House members and Senators automatically elected without opposition. No one ran against them for the seat.
