Sheryl Vieira Marks 10th Anniversary with Caldwell Trust Company
T he FBA congratulates bankers Susan Payne Turner and Beth Corum for receiving Pinnacle Awards in recognition of their community leadership and service. The eighth annual Pinnacle Awards ceremony was held on September 23 and presented by 850 Business Magazine and Bank of America. The Pinnacle Awards “spotlight leading women in business who hold themselves to high standards and contribute to the betterment of the community.” Twelve deserving female leaders from throughout Northwest Florida were recognized at the event. Both Turner and Corum serve in leadership roles on the 2021-2022 board of the Florida Bankers Educational Foundation (FBEF). The FBEF provides financial assistance to Florida bank employees who want to advance their careers through education. Turner is the 2021-2022 FBEF Board Chair, the first of a two-year term. She has been on the FBEF S heryl Vieira, VP of marketing and communications at Caldwell Trust Company, marks her 10th anniversary with the company with a record of accomplishments, including numerous honors for her community service. Originally the marketing manager for Caldwell, she is now responsible for the company’s strategic marketing, business development, community outreach and branding. Vieira created a philanthropic initiative called “Caldwell Cares” in support of local charities, especially those that focus on youth and social causes. When she joined Caldwell in 2011, the company had $500 million in assets under management and donated $66,125 to charities. In 2021, the company’s assets under management for the year to date are $1.4 billion, with donations to nonprofits totaling $250,000. “Sheryl’s participation as part of Caldwell’s team has contributed to this growth, and her initiatives under ‘Caldwell Cares’ have had a major impact on our philanthropic initiatives,” said R. G. “Kelly” Caldwell Jr., CEO/president. A member of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) and Florida Bankers Association, Vieira is a graduate of Leadership FPRA Class V. She was chosen as president-elect of the Central West Coast Chapter of FPRA and honored as its Chapter Member of the Year.
She has received two Golden Image Awards for her campaigns, as well as the Ginnie Duffey Troyer Award of Professionalism, presented to a member of the FPRA who displays the highest level of professionalism in the public relations field. Vieira was also named a 2018 Finalist for the national PR People

“Marketer of the Year” award by PR News and was one of only five finalists nationwide. Other local accomplishments include two ADDY Awards for excellence in advertising by AdFred Suncoast, the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation. “Sheryl has been an incredible asset to Caldwell Trust Company,” Caldwell said. “She has established a community presence at the highest level for our company. We’re enormously proud of her accomplishments, for both our company and our community.”
