S imon Cruz joined Intercredit Bank in September 2011. He has a distinguished banking career that spans four decades with community banks, international banks, money center banks and real estate investment firms. An active community leader for more than 25 years, Cruz has served as a board member of the School of International Public Affairs (SIPA) at Florida International University, and as a past director of the Florida Bankers Association’s (FBA) School of Banking and the Florida Export Finance Corporation. He is presently a member of the Board of Directors of the American Bankers Association and board member of the Center for Financial Training at Miami-Dade College. Cruz served as a Miami Beach Commissioner for 10 years. He graduated cum laude from Rutgers University and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in International Economics and Latin American Studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
