ServisFirst Bank Commemorates New Panama City Location with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

S ervisFirst Bank commemorated its expansion into Panama City, Fla., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 26th. Bryan Taylor, ServisFirst Community Development Officer, led the ceremony as key spokesperson which took place on the sixth floor of The Chapman Building. The Bay County Chamber of Commerce and Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce both attended the ceremony. “We are excited to introduce our new location in Panama City,” stated Steve Aase, ServisFirst Bank Panama City Market President. “Our dedicated employees are ready to serve the community of Bay County and the surrounding areas and showcase the commitment we have for our clients.” ServisFirst Bank continues to successfully expand by utilizing their extensive experience and commitment to their clients. This is Panama City’s first ServisFirst Bank location, and their 9th banking location in Florida. K elly Smith, branch banking Premier Banking Associate Program leader at Wells Fargo, has been selected as Chairwoman of the 9th annual Florida Bankers Association Women in Leadership Conference to be held April 20-21 in Orlando. Smith is a banking executive with 18 years of banking experience. She has led the Premier Banking Associate Program since April 2021; Smith is responsible for designing, launching and scaling a national diversity, equity and inclusion initiative. This program will be transformational in the premier banker coverage of affluent clients to better reflect the diversity of the communities Wells Fargo serves across branch banking. In December 2022, Smith began leading the Centralized Affluent Team, composed of virtual premier bankers, which complements the branch partnership by expanding the ability to reach more affluent clients. A company veteran, Smith has held several leadership roles managing teams in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Florida. Prior to her current role, she served as region bank president for the North Florida region and was responsible for 135 Wells Fargo branches in 21 counties. She has led the Florida Women’s Initiative at Wells Fargo, which was created to build a stronger pool of women candidates and a pipeline for future leaders. She was also named to the list of “Women Who Make a Difference” by the Girl Scouts of the Gateway Council in 2017. The Women in Leadership Conference is designed to encourage, support and inspire women to reach for leadership positions in their chosen field.
