Accounting Today Names Mauldin & Jenkins a Top 100 Firm, Regional Leader
Mauldin & Jenkins announced its inclusion on Accounting Today’s 2026 Top 100 Firms list. In addition to the national ranking, the firm was recognized as a Regional Leader in the Southeast region. Accounting Today named 2026 “the year of the client,” highlighting a national shift among the Top 100 toward deeper, relationship-driven service models and an emphasis on the development of comprehensive solutions to address clients’ complex needs. Anchor Bank announced it has entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with the FDIC to assume all insured deposits and acquire certain assets of Community Bank & Trust — West Georgia following its closure. Following the transaction, Anchor Bank will have approximately $875 million in total assets on a pro forma basis. The former branch locations reopened May 4, 2026, as Anchor Bank.
In 2025, the firm made numerous strategic advancements to broaden its reach and service offerings. While its footprint continues to expand, its key drivers remain consistent with the industry’s top performers: an increased focus on advisory services, strategic identification of mergers and acquisitions partners, and talent recruitment, retention and development continue to support the firm’s ultimate goal of achieving client service excellence. “We are pleased to welcome Community Bank & Trust — West Georgia’s customers and employees to Anchor Bank,” said Anchor Bank CEO Nelson Hinojosa. “Our immediate priority is to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of service. We look forward to building strong, long-term relationships in the LaGrange community by delivering the responsive, relationship focused banking model that defines Anchor Bank.”
