Waddell Completes GSBC Executive Development Institute

J ennifer Waddell, EVP Chief Experience Officer of First State Bank of the Florida Keys, graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado’s (GSBC) Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers® (EDI) as a member of its 11th cohort. GSBC’s EDI program consists of extensive leadership development and bank management training. Participants are up-and-coming C-level executives whose work efforts influence the future direction of their banks. Waddell was one of 14 community bankers who graduated from the program during a ceremony in Broomfield, Colo. T he Sunshine Community Trust announced an expansion of its annual giving for 2025. Building on last year’s inaugural grant, which provided scholarships at Lake Technical College, the Trust has doubled its impact this year with two significant contributions. Lake Technical College will receive an additional $15,000 toward its scholarship fund, ensuring continued support for students in a variety of technical programs. The Trust also awarded a $22,000 grant to Lake-Sumter State College, which will support scholarships for the school’s nursing program.

Smith Community Service Award. Lashua was awarded for his extraordinary professional achievement and commitment to community. A trusted leader and valued colleague, Lashua has served the bank with distinction for nearly two decades. He sets the standard for excellence, ensuring the principles that define the company – strong relationships, exceptional client service and a

steadfast commitment to doing the right thing – remain at the heart of their work. Over decades of volunteer leadership, Stehlik has demonstrated a true heart for service. His efforts are remarkable, not only for the number of causes he supports, but for the depth and longevity of his involvement. In honor of his dedication, the Capital City Bank Group Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant on Stehlik’s behalf, evenly divided between the two organizations of his choice – Theatre Tallahassee and Scouting America.
