T he FBA’s 2023 Capitol Day + Capitol Night events were a success. More than 100 bankers joined us in Tallahassee to advocate for our industry at the capitol. Capitol Day began in the morning with an in-depth Government Relations Council meeting that included discussion about state and federal legislative issues. Bankers then attended a luncheon with keynote speaker Michael Grant , House Majority Leader. Additionally, there were small-group appointments

with members of the Florida Legislature. Bankers also heard from Commissioner Russell Weigel and Jeremy Smith with the OFR and Representatives Bob Rommel , Allison Tant and Randy Maggard . Our busy day lobbying on the Hill was followed by Capitol Night, a time of fellowship and networking for bankers, legislators, staffers and vendors over a delicious dinner at FBA’s headquarters.
