Congressman Byron Donalds Meets with Sanibel Captiva Community Bank Leadership
C Congressman Byron Donalds recently visited Sanibel Captiva Community Bank’s Operations Center in Fort Myers to participate in an open discussion with members of the bank’s executive management team, including President and Senior Loan Officer Kyle DeCicco and Executive Vice President, CFO and COO John Wright. The discussion centered around the rapidly changing community banking industry and how federal policy affects local financial institutions and their ability to effectively do business in Southwest Florida. “We appreciate Congressman Donalds’ time and interest in meeting with our team learning more about community banking,” said DeCicco. “I hope the shared insights can help make a positive impact on our evolving industry.” A fter a pandemic-induced hiatus lasting two long years, staffers from Edison National Bank / Bank of the Islands laced up their work boots to participate in Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build 2022 as a Women Build Bronze Hammer Sponsor. The mission of Women Build is to engage women in the effort to provide safe and decent homes for families in need of affordable housing. Each year, approximately half of local Habitat homeowner candidates are single mothers or female-headed households. By recruiting, educating, and inspiring women to build, Habitat for Humanity transforms lives in the community for generations to come. The bank’s “Build Day” took place on Saturday, April 30 and contributed towards a new home in Habitat’s Heritage Heights Community in South Fort Myers. Due to social distancing restrictions, only seven bankers were permitted to participate this year – Kim Nyberg, Michele Reed, Paige Stefanski, Liz Aurensan, Sherry Parmeley, Cindy Nelson, and Susan Schulte. “We value the supportive partnership we have developed with Habitat for Humanity, and the bankers on our staff cherish the time we spend together on the Women Build program,” said President Robbie Roepstorff. “It is such an honor and so in keeping with our bank’s core values to help construct much needed
