Capital City Bank Named Among ‘Best Banks to Work For,’ Foundation Supports Nonprofits

F or the 12th consecutive year, Capital City Bank has been named one of American Banker’s “Best Banks to Work For” in its 2024 rankings, placing #56 out of 90 banks nationwide and #15 in the category of banks with assets between $3 billion and $10 billion. The process involved evaluating participating banks’ workplace policies, practices and demographics, and assessing employees’ experiences and attitudes with respect to their workplace. Results of this year’s program are available at www.americanbanker.com/ list/best-banks-to-work-for and in the November issue of American Banker magazine. Separately, during the 2024 grant cycle, the Capital City Bank Group (CCBG) Foundation reinvested $36,000 into the communities of Leon, Gadsden and Washington counties, awarding grants to organizations like A Better Body, DJ DEMP Foundation, A Full Summer, Emergency Care Help Organization, Keep Tallahassee Leon County Beautiful and Washington County Council on Aging. The First Bank Joins GivingTuesday Global Charitable Movement, Foundation Awards Grants

F or the fifth consecutive year, The First Bank joined the global charitable movement GivingTuesday with a $25,000 donation to The Salvation Army. The donation will benefit its centers throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi. The First has donated over $75,000 to The Salvation Army since 2008. The Heritage Community Foundation, operated by the bank, recently awarded over $250,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations throughout the bank’s operating footprint. The Foundation is primarily funded by employees of The First with all operating costs funded by the foundation. To date, the Foundation has awarded over $1,174,000 in grants to more than 150 nonprofit groups, donated more than $22,000 to disaster and emergency relief, and provided over $23,000 in support to The First employees experiencing hardships due to natural disasters or other unforeseen circumstances.
