Matthew Bruno steps into the role of president of the Miami-Dade region. U.S. Century Bank Announces New SVP and Director of Retail Banking & Special Projects U.S. Century Bank announced Tracy Cochran has joined as senior vice president and director of retail banking and special projects. She will be responsible for overseeing the operations and production goals of the banking centers, as well as leading projects within retail banking and across business lines focused on enhancing the bank’s product offerings and customer experience. Cochran has more than 35 years of banking experience. She previously worked at BCI Securities Inc. as senior vice president and head of the client service division, strategy and projects. Prior to that, she was senior vice president and director of strategic retail initiatives at TotalBank. Cochran holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida International University, where she double majored in finance and international business. Cochran

The FBA is supporting this bill. •Working with the Office of Financial Regulation on legislation to fix a glitch in the new securities law, which prohibited banks’ sales or purchases of securities in certain circumstances. • The creation of a State Sovereign Bank to take public deposits or to compete with our members in the free market. The FBA will oppose this idea. •Affordable Housing is an issue that will arise again and we will be working with legislators on this as well. These are just some of the ideas.
