The Commercial Banking division at Crews announced Christopher “Chris” Elliott has been promoted to Commercial Banker. Elliott joined the bank in 2023 as a credit analyst after graduating from the University of South Florida, Sarasota, with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Elliott is a past volunteer for the Englewood Chamber of Commerce. Ameris Bank announced Emily Dawkins has joined the company as Florida president of Ameris Bank. Dawkins will be responsible for the continued development and expansion of Ameris Bank’s presence throughout Florida while accelerating the bank’s commitment to commercial and individual customers. Dawkins replaces Brian Parks, who has been promoted to head of Wholesale Banking at Ameris. Dawkins was most recently regional president of North Florida at Truist, where she gained 20 years of experience progressing through several positions. She completed the Commercial Associate Program at SunTrust and served as a Commercial relationship manager in Jacksonville and as a Capital Markets originator covering the state of Florida. Dawkins is on the Baptist Medical Center South Board and serves as communications chair of ReThreaded’s Circle of Sisters. She holds a bachelor of science degree in finance with a minor in Spanish from the University of Florida. Canup Joins Colony Bank as Regional Sales Manager and Senior Mortgage Loan Officer Colony Bank announced the addition of seasoned mortgage professional Lisa Canup as Regional Sales Manager and Senior Mortgage Loan Officer. Criddle attended Northwest Florida State College and completed Mississippi Bankers Association’s Principal of Banking Program. She is involved with Community Association Institute: CAI, and Young Professionals of Destin.
