Sanibel Captiva Trust Leases Permanent Space at Bell Tower

A merant Bank recently held a grand opening ceremony for its newest banking center in Hialeah. Located at 2911 West 16 Avenue, Hialeah, this is the bank’s 16th branch in Florida. Amerant celebrated its grand opening ceremony with a reception at its new banking center that included Amerant executives Lenya Suarez-Rojo, SVP, head of retail banking, and Howard Levine, EVP, head of consumer banking, along with city officials and members of the Hialeah Chamber of Commerce & Industries. “With the opening of our new Hialeah banking center, we’re able to continue to provide forward-thinking financial solutions to our clients in our new state-of-the-art banking center approach,” said Suarez-Rojo. “We’re excited to enhance our presence here in Hialeah for our clients and businesses in the community that turn to us for expert guidance.” “We’re grateful to continue serving the local community in Hialeah and neighboring areas in this new, updated facility,” added Suarez-Rojo. W hile The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company remains committed to the rebuilding of, and return to, its namesake islands, the firm has secured a permanent new office in Fort Myers to serve its clients from Sanibel, Captiva, Fort Myers, and throughout Lee County. S.Albert D. Hanser,The Trust Company’s founder and chairman, and Terence M. Igo, CEO, announced that the firm will establish The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company at Bell Tower, at 13525 Bell Tower Drive, on the southeast side of the complex at the corner of U.S. 41 and Daniels Parkway. “We stand with our Sanibel and Captiva clients following Hurricane Ian,” said Hanser, “and have every intention of finishing the build-out of our new office on the island when it is prudent to do so. In the meantime, we had always planned to expand to Fort Myers, as our client base has expanded greatly off the islands. We accelerated those plans to meet their needs, as well as the needs of so many of our clients and employees who have resettled, even temporarily, in other areas of Lee County.”

The two-story office building is 10,520 square feet, with ample room for growth. “The Trust Company has experienced significant growth over the last few years,” Igo said,“spurring strategic hires across wealth services, portfolio management, trust operations and client services. This building provides us with a comfortable and beautiful space to serve our clients, add talent as needed and host our events.”

The Hialeah branch is led by Felix Matos, VP, market manager.
