FBA STAFF SPOTLIGHT (CONTINUED)

CHERYL TUCKER EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS, JOINED FBA IN 2008

The thing I enjoy most about my current role is the camaraderie among the team members. I was taught and shown at an early age to have a strong work ethic, and I have carried that with me throughout my working life.

SUELLEN WILKINS DIRECTOR OF MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS, JOINED FBA IN APRIL 2024

I’ve spent much of my career in association communications and have always been drawn to organizations with a strong sense of purpose. Joining the FBA felt like a perfect fit — an opportunity to contribute to an organization with a meaningful mission and a collaborative team. I enjoy helping members see how their involvement strengthens Florida’s banking community. It’s rewarding to connect the dots among our programs, our people and the impact we make across the state. I began my career managing publications, which taught me the value of clear storytelling and attention to detail — skills that guide me every day. My experience across industries like finance, government and transportation has helped me stay adaptable. I love asking questions, finding connections and shaping messages that help people see the “why” behind our work.

OLGA WILLIAMS EDUCATION MANAGER JOINED FBA IN 2023 BA FROM FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY, JD FROM UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI HOMETOWN MIAMI, FLORIDA

Pam Ricco, whom I knew from our kids’ school, is a very persuasive person! I was very happy at Capital City Bank when Pam offered me a position, and I’m truly grateful to her for giving me the opportunity to meet so many outstanding bankers through my role. I absolutely love the “people side” of the events we provide for our FBA members! There are a couple of things I believe have been truly instrumental in my life: growing up in the islands and overseas (Puerto Rico, St. Croix and Venezuela) and earning my JD. One gave me a deep appreciation and understanding of the world around me, and the other taught me to think critically. Both are essential when engaging with a variety of people throughout life.
