BANK ON YOUR FUTURE BRINGS FSU COLLEGE OF BUSINESS STUDENTS AND BANKERS TOGETHER On Nov. 6, Florida State University (FSU) hosted FBA staff and Tallahassee-area bankers at the FBA’s first Bank on Your Future event. Florida Bankers Educational Foundation (FBEF) Board Chair Fred Leopold of Community Bank moderated two sessions at FSU. First, a panel of bankers spoke to more than 60 freshmen and sophomore students from an FSU finance class, answering questions about working in the banking industry. Leopold then moderated a second session with 30 juniors and seniors who attended a reception at the FSU College of Business. The bankers in attendance spoke with students who expressed an interest in working in banking, as well as students who may not have considered this career path. Bank on Your Future is part of the FBA’s efforts to promote careers in banking, with plans to travel to other colleges in the future.
