According to a recent survey conducted by Morning Consult on behalf of the American Bankers Association, 48 percent of bank customers rely on phone apps or other mobile devices for their banking needs. In the past 12 months, 23 percent indicated that they favor online banking via laptops or PCs. Preferences vary across generations, as more than half of Gen Z (57 percent), Millennials (60 percent) and Generation X (52 percent) use mobile banking apps most often, while a significant 39 percent of Baby Boomers continue to opt for online banking as their primary method.
