Porter has more than 17 years’ experience in the wealth management industry. Her most recent position was at FineMark National Bank & Trust, Estero, Fla., as vice president and trust administrator, where she served as a trusted advisor to her clients, including financial planning evaluation, estate plan reviews, and partnering with clients’ attorneys and CPAs for the benefit of clients’ fiduciary goals. An active member of the professional community, Porter has served as past president of the Bonita Springs Assistance Office Board of Directors, is a graduate of Leadership Bonita (SWFL) 2013 and past co-chair of Leadership Bonita (SWFL) Alumni Committee, past president of Lee County Estate Planning Committee, and past president of SWFL Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, to name a few. Porter obtained her Bachelor of Arts in economics and Spanish from Cornell College, Mount Vernan, Iowa. There he supervised bank-wide lending sales initiatives and portfolio management, while also managing and developing his own commercial loan portfolio in excess of $120 million. Prior to Freedom Bank, he served as vice president at other top regional community banks, including Hancock Bank, Regions and SunTrust. An industry leader with more than 20 years of experience, Curtis brings not only expertise in commercial banking management but also proven success in the Tampa Bay market and in the community banking space. In his new role with BayFirst, Curtis will direct the strategic execution of BayFirst’s commercial and personal loan production in Pinellas County to maximize profitability. He will be responsible for staff management, driving new business deposits and loan relationships, and the development of bank products and services in the market. Curtis holds a Bachelor of Science in international business from Florida State University. He is also a graduate of the University of Florida’s Florida School of Banking and Louisiana State University’s Graduate School of Banking. Curtis currently serves on the Board of Directors for Remember Honor Support and Menorah Life, both St. Petersburg non-profits.
