BankMiami Receives Final Order of Approval to Open New Bank

B ankMiami has received its Final Order of Approval from the Florida Office of Financial Regulation (OFR) to open a new Community Bank in Miami. BankMiami seeks to be the first de novo bank to open in Miami-Dade County in more than 15 years. It will offer what it calls innovative, concierge banking services to provide the highest levels of satisfaction and convenience for its banking clientele. The Final Order is subject to customary conditions including the receipt of FDIC approval. “We are delighted to have received the final order of approval from the Office of Financial Regulation, moving one step closer toward opening our Bank and fulfilling the needs and expectations of the community we serve,” said Mary Usategui, president and CEO of BankMiami. “As we work toward finalizing the establishment of BankMiami, we continue to welcome strategic investors who will share our pride in creating a new bank that reflects the highest standards of our community.” M ainstreet Community Bank of Florida marked its two-decade milestone a few months ago. Across all eight branches, customers were treated to cookouts. The bank also hosted an impromptu mini concert at its flagship branch in downtown DeLand, featuring a talented customer on guitar. As the pinnacle of the celebration, a “Roaring 20s Celebration” brought together dedicated team members alongside several original customers who have been with the bank since 2003. At the request of CEO W. Ben Flowers, Jr., team member Chad Parrish led attendees in a ‘Mainstreet’ rendition of Bob Seger’s “Down on Mainstreet.” The evening was topped off with a hypnotist and dancing, marking a memorable homage to the bank’s 20 years in operation. Mainstreet Community Bank of Florida Marks 20th Anniversary

Community Bank of Florida has grown to encompass eight branches across DeLand (2), Orange City (2), Holly Hill, Clermont, Ocala and Longwood. It will soon add a branch in Oviedo.
