BankUnited Names Mustafa SVP for Commercial Banking BankUnited Inc. announced Arber Mustafa joined the bank’s New Jersey commercial banking team as Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking, responsible for developing and managing commercial client relationships and providing strategic financing and treasury management solutions. Mustafa brings 15 years of banking experience to his new role, including expertise in relationship management, lending, credit analysis, cash management and portfolio growth. Prior to joining BankUnited, he was VP, Commercial Banker/Commercial Real Estate at JP Morgan Chase in New York. Previously, he served as VP, Treasury Sales Officer at Citizens Bank. Announces New Board Members First National Bankers Bankshares, Inc. recently elected two new members to the Board of Directors for FNBB, Inc. and its banking subsidiary, First National Bankers Bank. The terms for Curtis Evatt, President & CEO of Oconee Federal Savings and Loan Association in Seneca, S.C., and Dennis Murphy, President and CEO of Gulfside Bank in Sarasota, Fla., began March 2, 2026.

With more than 25 years of banking experience, Meredith will leverage her expertise to further strengthen the bank’s commitment to local businesses and community. She has strong ties to the Pensacola area and her extensive banking career includes roles as branch manager, retail, small business and commercial lender. Becky is an active and engaged member of the community. The Alabama-based bank will soon open at 36150 Emerald Coast Parkway in Destin, its first location in Florida. With nearly three decades of experience in consumer and commercial banking, Davis will help clients across the Florida Panhandle. Davis earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of West Florida. He is a graduate of the Florida School of Banking.

United Community Names Thompson Chief Commercial Banking Officer, Announces Florida Realignment

United Community has promoted Sharon Thompson to chief commercial banking officer, a newly created role designed to support the company’s continued growth and expansion of its commercial and specialty banking capabilities. Thompson most recently served as the bank’s Florida state president. Thompson will oversee several of United’s commercial and specialty banking lines, including asset-based lending, middle market, franchise, commercial real estate, renewable energy, treasury services and public finance. She will also lead efforts to further strengthen these businesses through strategic recruiting and team development.
