S ince 1999, Clumpies Ice Cream Co. has been serving up handcrafted, small-batch ice cream, delighting locals and visi tors alike. Founded by the son of a third-generation candy maker, this Chattanooga favorite remains dedicated to its roots, crafting every bite with care and creativity. At Clumpies, every batch of ice cream is a labor of love created in a micro-batch style, only nine gallons at a time, from milk and cream pasteurized in house. From there, only the finest ingredi ents make the cut. Whether it’s rich, house-made cakes, cookies and brownies folded into the mix or jams and sauces crafted from local produce, every flavor tells a story of craftsmanship and com munity. Staying true to its hometown spirit, Clumpies partners with regional farmers and businesses to create inventive flavors that reflect the essence of Chattanooga. In 2013, Clumpies became part of the See Rock City, Inc. family ushering in a new era of growth while remaining local. A new production facility opened in 2017 allowing the company to refine its craft further and in 2018 they launched an online store

Speaking of birthday’s, this March, Clumpies’ St. Elmo scoop shop will celebrate its 10th anniversary marking a decade of selling ice cream next to the legendary Incline Railway.
