A RIDE THROUGH HISTORY

With your experienced and knowledgeable guide, you will take a leisurely ride through some of Chattanooga’s most iconic landmarks, learning the history of its people, culture, art, and architecture. Chattanooga Trolley offers a variety of tours, from a 1-hour City Tour to deluxe tours that include museum visits and even a train ride. The most popular tour is the Derailed: Trolley Tour and Train Ride , which focuses heavily on the transportation heritage of Chattanooga, from the early days of horse cars through Chatta nooga’s famous train era and on into the modern era of the auto mobile and the rise of the electric car. This tour features a train ride on the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum’s “Missionary Ridge Local”. Others include a city tour with visits to the Coker Automotive Museum or the International Towing Museum. “I try to make Chattanooga’s history interesting and fun. If you get off the trolley thinking that you just had a boring history lesson, then I have failed,” shared owner and guide Craig Scott. “Every tour takes on a life of its own. Sometimes it goes in differ ent directions. That’s the good thing about being on a trolley that isn’t on rails.” The Chattanooga Trolley is also a great way to get your bear ings in the city and pick up some great tips on restaurants. Tours begin at the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo at 1400 Market St. and generally run Thursday through Sunday. To find more information or to book your tour, visit: www.sceniccitytours.com
