Day Out With Thomas ™ LET’S GET COLORFUL TOUR

J oin Thomas the Tank Engine for a day filled with colorful adventures! Hosted by the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, Day Out With Thomas™ is an annual event that offers children and their families an opportunity to take an interactive train ride with Thomas to earn their Color Badge, say hello to Sir Topham Hatt, and get creative exploring the Color Corner. Other activities include the Play Pod, live entertainment, the exclusive pop-up gift shop, and more! Thomas the Train, known for his quest to become a “Really Useful Engine,” was first brought to life by Wilbert Vere Awdry in a series of children’s books based on stories he crafted for his son, Christopher. The first book, The Three Railway Engines , was released in 1945 and inspired 25 more books before the tele vision show Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends was released in the United King
