She talked a lot about her RVing days, the friends that came into her life, her fun times and the ups and downs of RV life. She continued to pray for those still on the road and those who had to park permanently due to health issues. Alice and her husband Richard, who died in 1999, were Lifetime Members of Escapees. They both enjoyed being on the road and meeting many friends whom they cherished in their hearts. The time they spent on the road was the happiest time of their life. Anyone who wants to send a card to the family, please write a memory or two, as it will go into the family history book. TENPENNY, JAN #276—JULY 27, 2024 : It is time to say good bye to a true Escapees matriarch. Jan died peacefully. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, and many fellow Escapees who knew them as a fantastic team, sel fl essly volunteerng in nearly every capacity in the club. They served as Escapade Directors, Fun Days Directors and HOP Directors. They served as Volun teer Club Representatives, Advisory Council members, ChapterOf fi cers, SKP Co-Op Board members and more. Jan’s son, Bill, will have her ashes interred with Joe’s at a nearby Military cemetery. We stand with Bill in this dif fi cult time and welcome everyone to a Celebration of Life to be held at Escapees North Ranch, in late October or early November, when more of her friends and neighbors return for the winter.
