Escapees September-October 2023

When my family was on a multi-year, multi-state RV adventure, we discov ered work camping, which opened up places and educational opportunities that we never would have imagined. The most mundane, but practical, kind of work camping was cleaning bath rooms at campgrounds in exchange for a free site. But the best work camping experience we had was the month I worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for several events, including the Indy 500. It was truly one of the most incredible experiences our family had during our eight years on the road.
