Remember, you are not putting your words and thoughts out there for all to see and maybe criticize. Those special moments and memories might be just for you to revisit in your mind. We have always enjoyed reading about other RVers and their adventures on the road. Many of our fel low Escapees friends have shared their stories with us, and it is great to feel that we were there with them. But what if we were there? While visiting the Amazon website, I found myself in a magical place when I typed

you so carefully wrote about when you were sitting on the shores of the river Seine or a clear mountain lake re fl ecting a rising moon. The ability to remember and create a scene is extraordinary. I can still visit, smell and feel the moments I had while sitting on a large rock on one of

There are so many choices, including faux leather bound journals designed for young children, where they can write their memories of travel, that could become a treasured keepsake. Your friends and family would treasure these journals where you wrote about sights, places you visited and things you thought about and experienced during your travels. Some journals are speci fi cally designed for RV travel, some for camping or hiking, with many choices to consider. P resenting one of the children’s books to a young traveler could be accompanied by a colored pencil set to enable the child to add personal touches to their words with hand-drawn, colored illustrations. You might be fostering a budding journalist or artist with this magical gift. It certainly will keep them entertained while traveling . As a writer, I cherish things I have written in the past about my experiences and adventures. You shouldn’t

There are many other websites included when you search for travel journals for children. There are many choices as well as helpful guidance on creating a personal memory journal. Shopping on the Amazon website is an adventure. Creating and capturing memories of travels is a wondrous thing, and it will sharpen your writing skills. You might be featured in Escapees magazine while your fellow RVing friends enjoy reading about your adven tures. But at least you will retain the ability to revisit your beautiful memories.
