Working at CARE Brings Daily Learning Experiences Feeding approximately 70 people daily requires a kitchen to have a good grease trap. From time to time those grease traps need to be cleaned out. Unfortunately, a small job can grow into a costly job. The system was installed in 1993, and sometime after that, a cement sidewalk was poured right over the top of the clean out connection, restricting the profes sionals from completely cleaning out the trap. Close to $9,000 later we have a grease trap that is now totally maintainable.

If you visit the CARE Center, you will see a new smiling face. Jenny Coker, our new volunteer coordinator, worked in retail, speci fi cally in cosmetics. On her fi rst day at the front desk, sounds of excitement were made when folks en tered the building. Jenny said that coming to work at the CARE Center was like coming back home since she knew so many people from the Escapees community. Jenny is a wonderful addition to the CARE sta ff .
