MELTON, JOY #88687–JULY 21, 2022 : Joy died at home after a two-week hospitalization. She hated being away from her beloved puppies. While traveling in Mexico, she returned home weak from an unfortunate RV accident. She never really recovered, and the RV road trips had to end. However, Joy never gave up and settled in the Foothills of Yuma, Arizona. She hosted many SKP and Boomer parties, games and overnight accommodations. We thank her Boomer friend Cathy T. who helped to get "Tag" and "Dude" a "fur-ever home." (Reported by friend Sue Pace #44604) TOTTEN, ROBERT D. #3432–AUGUST 14, 2022: After years of helping others see the rewards of the RV lifestyle, Robert’s heart gave out. He was a co-founder of the Lone Star Corral SKP Co-Op. He was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant. Following his military career, he taught auto mechanics at St. Phillips College in San Antonio. During his 87 years, he never met a stranger and would talk to everyone. Before his wife (Shirilene) passed, they traveled to many HOPS and Escapades representing Chapter 11. Though dementia took its toll on his later years, now he has found a seat at a poker game in heaven. He was a proponent of retiring early so you can clear your bucket list before your mind and body give out. (Reported by son, Tim Totten #87761.) WATSON, GLENNA #105327–FEBRUARY 20, 2022: (Gene, 3921 SE 38th Street, Ocala, FL 34480) Glenna died unexpect edly from complications after breaking her femur. She and Gene were married 47 years and eight months. In their fi rst year of retirement in 2006, they traveled to 22 states covering almost 19,000 miles in their 2003 Roadtrek 190 motorhome. She was an active member of Escapees, serving as secretary of Florida Sun Gators, Chapter 57 for many years. Glenna’s smile and spirit will be missed by many. (Reported by friend Marilyn Forbes #37796) WESTERFIELD, JOHN AND PHYLLIS #48057–OCTOBER 9, 2021 AND JANUARY 24, 2022: John, age 86, died October 9, 2021, due to stage-four kidney cancer and Phillis, age 84, died of a broken heart on January 24, 2022. They were two peas in a pod, having been together for almost 70 years. They lived in Menno Haven, a continuing care community in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. They enjoyed their many years on the road. Although they are greatly missed, we celebrate their lives and the legacy they left. (Reported by daughter Toni Wester fi eld.)
