Xscapers Convergences Going Back To Our Roots By HOLLIE PARKS #138407, Convergence Director

W hen I fi rst joined this club as an Xscaper back in 2017, Convergences were much smaller and more intimate. As the membership numbers grew, Convergences grew, too. However, as events got larger, some of the fundamental bene fi ts of attending a Convergence got lost in the sauce. While we all love a big party with tons of activities, it can be dif fi cult to make any meaningful connections with other Xscapers when you’ve met 150 of them in the span of a week. While I love this club for its excellent member bene fi ts, I love it even more because of the people I have met, and the lasting friendships I have nurtured while attending Convergences. As we head into 2023, I want to ensure that other members experience this same bene fi t of attending a more intimate event. As always, we will kick off the year with the Annual Bash, but the rest of the winter and spring will see less crowded events such as the Mexico Winter Home Base in Puerto Peñasco, the Winter Blast event in Lake Havasu City, Arizona and the Arizona Wine Country Convergence

Over the last six to eight months, I am sure we have all experienced the pain at the pumps and the rising cost of…well, every thing. What you may not have realized is how these issues have been a ff ecting the RV event scene. Major RV events and ral lies across the country have seen a decline in their typical (pre-pandemic) attendance numbers over the last year. People are lim iting their travels or choosing not to travel at all due to rising costs. As your conver gence director, it is my job to continue to organize awesome events while also navi gating these less than stellar trends. As a solution to keep Convergences on the right track, Xscapers have decided to get back to our roots.
