many to the jovial atmosphere of a Convergence-style event for the fi rst time. The festivities commenced with a lively round of “Get to Know You” Bingo at the welcome happy hour, setting the tone for camaraderie and connection. The following day featured the inaugural all-day lot crawl, a delightful odyssey where participants journeyed through various parking sections, sampling snacks, mingling with fellow RVers and immersing themselves in the outer space theme with creative dishes and decorations. The day stretched from 10:00 a.m. to after 7:00 p.m., punctuated by hourly breaks to recharge and prepare for the next leg of exploration. Throughout the week, the schedule diverged from the typical Xscapers Convergence, catering to non-work ing and retired attendees with a variety of daytime activities curated by Escapees Hangout Director, Kirsty Halliday. From morning coffee social hours, bike rides to the iconic Paris, TX Eiffel Tower and group takeovers of a local movie theater and bowling alley, members reveled in the leisurely pursuits and shared adventures. Evenings came alive with an array of entertainment, showcasing talents within the community and beyond. Live music performances by up-and-coming rockers out of Dallas, Lancebattalion and our Xscapers house band, The Status Crowes, fi lled the air with infectious energy. An open mic and karaoke night provided opportunities for attendees to shine, while JJ’s Dueling Pianos blurred the lines between stage and audience in a raucous display of musical prowess. The work week concluded with a Caribbean-themed Howard, adding an extra layer of wonder to the festivities. The event ended with a fi nal potluck brunch, member marketplace and an evening of dancing and bouncing at the silent disco and bounce house party—a fi tting fi nale to a week of unforgettable experiences. The Escapees RV Club Solar Eclipse event left an indeli ble mark on attendees, offering a truly unique experience unlikely to be replicated anytime soon. The rarity of such an event was underscored by the realization that the happy hour, complete with tropical rhythms and island treats. During the month of June, anticipation builds for a signi fi cant turnout of Xscapers at the 63rd Escapade, set to take place in the picturesque Rock Springs, Wyoming. As June transitions into July, excitement mounts for the return of the Xscapers 4th of July Convergence, this time set against the backdrop of the iconic Sturgis, South Dakota. It’s an opportunity for Xscapers to celebrate Independence Day in a brand-new location, surrounded by the beauty and energy of the Black Hills region. Looking ahead, the Xscapers event calendar promises more exciting adventures, including returns to beloved gatherings like the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, Las Vegas for Halloween and Joshua Tree for Friendsgiving. With plenty of opportunities on the horizon to come together, make new friends and create lasting memo ries, Xscapers eagerly anticipate the journey ahead. Until then, safe travels to all!
