TOY-HAULER LIVING By EMILY FAGAN #99408 Photosby EMILY AND MARK FAGAN
Enclosed Garage Versus Open-box Toy haulers come in two basic layouts: an “enclosed garage” that houses the toy(s) and is separated from the living area by a wall with a door, and “open box” where the garage extends from the back of the trailer clear into the kitchen and doubles as living space. While many people have cleverly re-purposed toy hauler garages into kids’ rooms and of fi ces, if you’re hauling a big outdoor toy, the issue of dirt and mud inside the RV looms large!
Even though we always thought toy hauler interiors resembled sports bars, we had wanted one for many years, so we could travel with our Polaris RZR 900 side-by side. Last year we took the plunge, bought a fi fth-wheel toy hauler, and went on a four-month jour ney, and what a great rig it turned out tobe!
