Bill and Zola “Jean,” who died from cancer on May 22, 2008, were married 62 years and enjoyed many years of travel, making new friends and researching their genealogy as lifetime members of Escapees. They were involved in building the Kofa Co-Op in Yuma, Arizona, and were among the fi rst lot holders. They were founding members involved in building the Timber Valley Co-Op in Sutherlin, Oregon, their home area, and were among the fi rst lot holders there as well. When Bill’s vision got worse, Jean’s cancer returned. They built a home in Sutherlin and sold their lots in Yuma and Sutherlin. They had a nice RV pad at home, always available to traveling family and friends. Their granddaughter Tracy Van Dolah and her husband, Jack #16375, assisted them in town, as did their great-granddaughter, Brandilyn Van Dolah # 169570. They all enjoyed sharing their generations of SKP stories. Brandilyn learned to ride her bike on the dirt roads as the Timber Valley Co-Op was being built. Bill and Jean are now together again.
