two to three weeks. We gather somewhere near the US border in Arizona or California and spend several days learning the “ropes” of RV travel south of the border. We explain how to convert US dollars to Pesos, the road conditions, what type of insurance to buy and much more. Know ing Spanish isn’t necessary. The other, and more interesting, part of our rallies is our interaction with the local Mexican people. A major part of our club’s mission is charity, and each rally includes raising funds and fi nding needy organizations with which we can assist, often with hands-on labor (painting, cleaning, rebuilding, etc.). Other charity activi ties include distributing food, clothing, blankets, personal health care items, used medical equipment (canes, wheelchairs) to those who are in need. The SKP ACRE planning committee, steering commit tee and rally team have selected Coastal Georgia RV Resort, Brunswick, Georgia, as the rally location for 2023. The steering committee’s goal is to provide a quality rally at the lowest possible cost. Entertain ment and other optional venues outside the RV resort are in the planning stages. There will be six catered meals and, as always, a potluck dinner. The Escapees SmartWeigh team will be available to weigh your RV, and we have added Boot Camp, following the SKP ACRE, on April 21–23, 2023. Seminars will be provided, including, for example, one on tire pres sure. Rally fee and camping fee to be determined.
