A Message from the Board By Travis and Melanie Carr #8, and the Escapees Board of Directors

the ¿ rst 100 member families were traveling full-time with their children. Working on the road or raising a family while nomadic is no longer a rarity but a rapidly growing segment of the RV lifestyle. Now more than ever, modern technology has provided new tools to make life on the road easier and making the pursuit of this dream increasingly possible for many aspiring RVers. Xscapers is there to answer the call- ing to provide resources and support for this unique group of RVers who have decided to not wait until retirement to pursue a life of adventure.

Xscapers Brings Escapees Full Circle One year ago, on March 8, 2015, a dream was launched, and the new lifestyle group called Xscapers became a reality. That dream was to truly become “A total support network for all RVers.” Xscapers was inspired by the Escapees RV Club’s original roots because the founders, Joe and Kay Peterson, were only 43 years old and working on the road when they started full-time RVing. When they formed the club in 1978, 40 percent of the members were under age 50 and the majority was still working at least part-time. Nine of
