The insurance company has the duty to defend you in a suit, but you need proper limits in place to protect your hard-earned assets. When you are pulling an RV, your liability coverage from your auto policy will extend to your RV. So if you do not have a motor home, look at your auto insurance policy and review your limits of coverage. If you do have a motorhome, your limits of liability are on the RV policy. For all of you “full-time RVers,” make sure your insurance company or agency is aware of that to ensure you have suitable liability coverage similar to that of a homeowner’s policy.
