CARE. Our night was rounded out with a newer event we like to call Xscapers Got Talent, which evolved into a rambunctious night of karaoke. On the last morning of the event, we carpooled to beautiful Zilker Park just outside of downtown Austin. Many folks fl oated the river on their kayaks and paddle boards while others just found a nice spot to hang out in the water. It was a one-of-a-kind event with something for everyone, and I imagine that Xscapers can expect another Convergence at COTA in the future. As we roll through summer, Xscapers have a lot to look forward to. With Escapade wrapped up, we are heading right into the 4th of July Convergence. The week promises to be another fun- fi lled experience in Salida, Colorado, where attendees can expect a town-wide scavenger hunt, live music and local brewery tours. At the end of August, the Xscapers will see their fi rst commu nity-hosted Convergence under the new host program.

Nicole Sampson #172604 will be putting on a family-cen tered event at the Southwest Washington Fairground where attendees will fi nd activities such as art and craft classes, group bike rides, guided nature hikes and even a mobile video game truck. Tickets to that event will also include a three-day pass to the local Garlic Festival and discounted entry into the Garlic Fest 5K run/walk. In October, the Xscapers return to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, hosted by Scott and Carole Pleasants #129260, which means that you know it’s going to be a great event. At the end of October, we are headed to the one and only New Orleans, Louisiana, for the Xscapers Halloween Convergence! Some of the spooky festivities will including a full- fl edged, second-line parade down Bourbon Street and a swamp and alligator tour in the bayou. Tickets for all these upcoming events are on sale now. I can’t wait to see you at a future convergence!
