Entrance to one of the many hiking trails from the site

with procuring and storing fresh food to feed over 400 people. You can even hike the many trails that lead to the scenic overlooks. Plan on at least two hours to walk around the site and go into the buildings that have been restored. If you want to read every information board, plus hike the trails, plan on even more time. There are six spaces for the longer RVs to parallel park. At busy times, it may be better to use your tow vehicle, if possible. There is no food or lodging at the fort but it is located next to the town of Fort Davis, which looked like an interesting place to explore also.
