of Halloween-themed trivia that included categories like “Name that Serial Killer,” “Name that Movie: Horror Film Edition” and “Tinder for Psychos” which had teams trying to determine which horror movie villain’s dating pro fi le they were reading. On the fi nal night of the event, Convergence attend ees were treated to a catered shrimp and crab boil served in the traditional tabletop spread. Many of us had to learn how to properly eat a blue crab with nothing to use but our hands. It made for a delicious, yet messy, dining experience. We fi nished the night off with some line-dancing lessons and a craft beer and seltzer exchange. On departure day, we enjoyed our coffee and GTFO beignets from the famous Café Du Monde, while we packed our rigs and tried get on the road before a large rainstorm hit the area. While the NOLA Convergence was a small event, it had big energy. The week seemed to be a non-stop calendar of activities and gatherings and I foresee

another great event in the historic city of New Orleans sometime in the Xscapers future. The beginning of a new year means only one thing for the Xscapers: Annual Bash! The 2023 event will kick off shortly after this issue hits your mailbox, which means you will have to stay tuned for the next issue of this magazine to get a rundown of all the excitement that will take place at this year’s Bash. It is going to be an excellent year fi lled with fun activities and enter tainment, educational opportunities and, of course, the chance to make a ton of new friends. Throughout the rest of the winter, Xscapers can be found at the Mexico Winter Home Base in Puerto Peñasco (sorry, this one is already sold out), the Winter Blast in Lake Havasu City, at the 62nd Escapade in Tucson and the Arizona Wine Country Convergence in Sonoita.
