The Prospectors and Metal Detectors BOF

SKP ACRE and Boot Camp 2023 Coastal Georgia RV Resort Brunswick, Georgia, April 15–23, 2023

The Prospectors and Metal Detectors BOF will gather in Quartzsite, Arizona, from January 30 to February 4, 2023. Any Escapee RV Club member is welcome to attend. The Quartzsite RV Show and Big Tent will run from January 21–29. Again, we welcome any Escapees member, whether new to this hobby or a veteran pros pector. If you are interested in joining us, please e-mail Ken Parsons, at rwsp606@gmail.com or call 541-963 8990, as a heads-up so we can plan our events. The location for the 2023 Prospectors and Metal Detectors BOF gathering will be to the east of Quartzsite. To get to the parking/camping location, head east on Dome Rock Road East (also called the South Frontage Road) for fi ve miles. This road parallels I-10 until you come to a white barricade where you turn south (right) onto Mitchell Mine Road. Go 1.6 miles on Mitchell Mine Road and look for P&MD signs on the west side of the road. Approx imately N33.65271 – W114.14792. The SKP ACRE planning committee, steering committee and rally team have selected Coastal Georgia RV Resort, Brunswick, Georgia, as the rally location for 2023. The steering committee’s goal is to provide a quality rally at the lowest possible cost. Entertainment and other optional venues outside the RV resort are in the planning stages. There will be six catered meals and, as always, a potluck dinner. The Escapees SmartWeigh team will be available to weigh your RV, and we have added Boot Camp, following the SKP ACRE, on April 21–23, 2023. Seminars will be provided, including, for example, one on tire pres sure. Rally fee and camping fee to be determined. Escapees Chapter 8 The Mexican Connection

Escapees Chapter 8 “The Mexican Connection” has been spon soring RV rallies to Mexico for over 35 years. These rallies are usually held in the months of Feb/March each year. Our upcoming rally is sold out but watch for the announcement of our next rally planned for this summer. Our mission is simple: To provide charitable support to those in need in Mexico, while also building con fi dence for RVers to travel and learn in this wonderful country.
