Co-founder of luxury desert camp White Desert, Robyn Woodhead is no stranger to adventure. What does a typical day in the carbon-neutral camp in Antarctica look like? According to Robyn, there’s no such thing, but: “In the morning, we hike to the ice waves, where you can delve down into a series of incredible ice tunnels. The tunnels are over 650-ft long and are flooded by this vivid, iridescent blue light that is truly surreal. It is probably my favorite thing to do out of all our activities on offer.” p50

London, UK FINN CAMPBELL NOTMAN Illustrator Originally from London, Finn Campbell Notman has lived and worked in San Francisco, Barcelona, Brussels and Andalusia as well as British idylls Norfolk and Somerset. He has produced artworks for Harrods, Johnnie Walker, Audi, Penguin Random House and Coca Cola, to name a few. His exceptional illustrations encapsulate not just the place but the emotions felt, and the harmonious tones are hauntingly beautiful. Finn provides the illustration for this issue’s Flight of Fancy: a remote lighthouse on a barren Swedish island, named Paster Norter after the prayer that sailors would recite as they sail through the treacherous waters that surround it. p128
